Testimonies of God’s power
Testimonies of God’s power
Peter
"Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ." (Ephesians 1:2).
Praise the LORD! I have a powerful testimony to share with you from the streets of Bangkok.
By the grace and will of God, I have been preaching the gospel of Christ in Bangkok's red light areas that are full of bars, alcohol, and prostitution. The LORD has sent two other Brothers to labour with me which are Brother Henry Thompson (his website is www.hispower.org) and Brother Isaac. Brother Isaac is only 19 years old and is from Idaho while Brother Henry is 21 years old and is living here with his wife and newborn son by faith preaching the gospel of Christ. And last night, by the grace and will of God, we went forth to preach the gospel in the "Nana Plaza" which is one of Bangkok's most red light districts.
Plus, a Pentecostal missionary from India with his Indian counterpart stood with us to witness publick street preaching which was a first for them. We, also, had a chance to minister to this missionary about eternal security; for he was doubting his salvation and was a missionary! And of course, we had a very long talk about the word of God: the Authorized King James Holy Bible 1611. I am not a Pentecostal, but I do minister to them as I have been through Pentecostal churches. And there are some brethren in there who need the truth. In fact, most Christian churches in Thailand are Pentecostal; and I am not afraid to preach the Word in their churches. And eternal security is very important for them to hear. Many of them do not even know 1 John 5:13. How can a Christian have joy not knowing 1 John 5:13?
Anyway, as Brother Henry, Brother Isaac, and myself took turns preaching the gospel of Christ in the entrance to the "Nana Plaza", we had the same responses. There were those resisting the Holy Ghost cursing us and throwing things at us. Then, there were the ones who would laugh at us. And then, there were the ones who would stand and listen. But as we were finishing up, a man from a bar on the second floor, which overlooks the entrance to the "Nana Plaza", yelled down to me to come up and see him. I normally would not have done so, for it could be a set up; and especially, when the bar owners are blaming us for losing over 60% of their profits from last year. But I could see the seriousness in this man's eyes so I went up to see him while Brother Henry and Brother Isaac finished preaching.
This man's name is Peter, and he is in his 40's from England. When I walked up to see him, he gave me a big hug and kept repeating over and over that he believes. When I said, "Praise the LORD!", he starting praising God. Finally, he told me his story. That night (last night), he was at the end of his rope and went into the bathroom of this bar to blow his brains out with a loaded colt .45 pistol. He showed me the gun. I don't know much about guns, but I know that it was a real loaded gun. Well, when he put the gun to his head to pull the trigger, he said a prayer to God; and something stopped him. Do you know what it was? He heard the Word of God being preached. You see the bathroom of this bar is right above where we preach; and in this bathroom, it has a small window that is cracked open. At first, he did not know where it was coming from so he just sat there with his gun in his hand listening to the Word of God being preached. And he put his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Glory to God! How important publick ministry really is! We have such a responsibility that we often forget until something like this happens. Praise the LORD!
Well, the first thing that Peter asked for was a Bible, so we will get a King James Holy Bible in his hand and in his heart. And we are believing that Peter will be joining us on the streets soon. For he lives here in Thailand. Glory to God!
God bless you, Brother. It is an honour to be in contact with you and in the service of the Lord. There is no higher calling than to be preaching Jesus Christ to the lost. Thanks for reading this testimony as it is special to me. Words on a page just doesn't justify this testimony. Amen.
In Christ,
Brother Tony
