Testimonies of God’s power
Jewish Man
One night while preaching on Soi Nana a Jewish man came up to me and wanted to talk. He was sad about all the horrible things going on around us. I had just finished preaching and there was a man listening that was very angry with me. He was under conviction but would not give in to the Lord. So while I was talking with the Jew this angry man was yelling at me from inside an open bar.
The Jew was asking about us, why we were there, how long had we been in Thailand... etc. When all of the sudden that angry guy was in my face cursing and yelling. The Jew ran to the other side of a fence behind us for safety. The man was so angry that he wasn't making a lot of sense but he was basically trying to communicate that I was dumb, sick, believed in the wrong god, and he was smart. I was just smiling. I asked him: "are you happy, because I am!" I told him to look at who was smiling and who was yelling and cursing. He said: "I WISH I COULD PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE!" I said: "well this is your lucky day sir, because you can!" He went crazy and kept saying he was going to punch me. I just kept saying "do it already! I am not scared to get hit, you are the one that has something to prove." Then he just walked away with his head down in shame. I was disappointed that the guy never hit me. It would have made this story better!
After all that the Jew came back wide eyed and watching his back. He wanted to know why I wasn't scared.
I showed him 1John 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
He wanted to know more, so I preached to Gospel of Christ to him. The angry guy was a blessing because it opened the eyes of this Jewish man. Praise the Lord. After hearing the Gospel he told me that he wanted to go to a place that wasn't so full of sin to think about all this. He thanked me and left.
Later after we had finished preaching we went to a coffee shop for some food and fellowship. As soon as we sat down the Jew walked in, came straight to our table and sat down with us. He was hungry for the truth. Now all three of us got to share the Gospel with him in detail using many Old Testament Scriptures that he was familiar with. It is a great honor to serve the Most High GOD!
